In order to demonstrate that ALMA is able to produce valid scientific results, several so-called Science Verification observations are made. This is done by comparing ALMA observations of several well-known celestial objects with data from other mm- and sub-mm instruments.
The third installment of ALMA Science Verification data has been released via the ALMA Science Portal. Four new datasets are now available. Click here for more information about this release.
