European ALMA school at Leiden Observatory

26.01.2026 to 30.01.2026

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the 2nd European ALMA school!  It was a very successful week, with over 60 participants and 20 tutors and lectures. The week was packed with lectures, science talks, and tutorials, and also included a tour of the Old Leiden Observatory.

The school was held at Leiden Observatory in Leiden in the Netherlands, from 26.01.2026 to 30.01.2026 and was hosted by the Allegro ARC node and organised by the European ALMA Regional Centre network.

The topics covered can be found HERE and included basics of interferometry, data calibration, imaging, working with the ALMA archive, data combination, VLBI, imaging beyond tclean, and polarization.
