Allegro is working closely with the ALMA High-Frequency team on the search for the high-frequency phase calibrators.
To determine appropriate phase calibrators for high-frequency science observations with ALMA, it is needed to constantly monitor the fluxes of potential phase calibrators in high-frequency bands (higher than 370 GHz). Observations prior to the science observations are carried out to determine the current flux of the calibrator at the frequency required by the science program. With these observations we can verify if the selected phase calibrator is appropriate to carry out the science goals required by the Astronomers.
